He shall give his angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways.

He shall give his angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways, in their hands they shall bear you up lest you dash your feet against a stone” Psalm 91:11
We are not alone. Angels unseen to the natural eyes are watching us. 1 Corinthians 4:9 tells us that angels have been with us since God created the earth and everything in it. Throughout the bible angels are mentioned almost 300 times, giving us enough information about their true existence.

What are Angels?
Angels are spirit beings without a physical body. They were created by God for His purpose Colossians 1:16-17. They live in heaven and are not visible to us because our eyes were not constructed to see them. There are some accounts in the bible where angels took on human form.
1. Abraham – Genesis 18:1-3.
2. Mary the mother of Jesus – Luke 1:26-38.
3. The resurrection of Jesus – John 20:11-15.
4. Peter set free from prison Acts – 12:7-10.

Angels are God’s messengers. Their chief business is to carry out His orders and do His command. The bible tells us that God has appointed His holy angels to guard us against the evil spirits, whose sole purpose is to hurt our body and our souls. When we cry out to God He sends His holy angels to help us.

Angels are assigned to each person. Matthew 18:10.

Angels are assigned to us to assist us in our war against satan, because the fight against us is a spiritual battle that we are not fully equipped to fight. Numbers 20:16

Angels respond when the word of God is spoken. Psalms 103:20.

Angels guides, comfort, and provide for God’s people in the midst of suffering and persecutions. They also execute judgment on nations that continues to disobey God. Exodus 23:20-22, Hebrew 1:14.

Angels are countless in numbers. In this one account, as God came to the mountain top to meet with Moses, He was accompanied by ten thousand angels. Rev 5:11.

Angels have names. Michael is mentioned in Revelation12:7-9, Jude 9, Daniel 10:13, and Gabriel Dan. 9:21-27.

Some have different powers, different jobs, and different authorities, etc., Principalities, Power, Dominions, Authority, Strongholds, Rulers of darkness of this world, spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places.

The good angels are called Holy Angels. Ephesians 6:12.

Angels never draw attention to themselves but ascribe glory to God. Rev 22:8-9. We are warned not to worship, pray to, nor put our faith in angels but in God; the One who created and rules the angels.

Angels cannot compete with the Holy Spirit, nor indwell men, only the Holy Spirit was sent to do that.

There is nothing in the bible that suggests that Angels are chubby babies with wings. The bible describes Angels as “Powerful”,” mighty”,”

Angels that excel in strength”. Revelation 20:1-2 tells us, one Angel will be sent to bind and cast satan into the pit.

Nothing in the scripture suggests that angels must eat to stay alive. In Genesis 18:1-8 the angels that visited Abraham did eat.

There is no indication that angels age. And nothing that says that one was sick. Angels cannot die. Luke 20:36.

God has given angels no ability to neither reproduce nor marry nor did we see God’s holy angels possessing someone’s body. They can take on different forms so we are to keep that in mind when entertaining strangers Heb 13:2,

God has given them higher knowledge, power, and mobility than man. 2 Samuel 14:20, 2 Peter 2:11, but they cannot be in more than one place in any given moment like God. Matthew 22:30.

We are made lower than the angels, but after the resurrection, man will be made higher than angels, and believers will judge angels. 1 Corinthians 6:3.

All angels were created by God and lived in heaven, but a third of those angels chose to join with Lucifer and rebel against God. Lucifer and those angels were thrown out of heaven, Ezekiel 28:12-17. Satan can still disguise himself, 2 Corinthians 11:14. But there are still two-thirds of angels available at God’s command to assist us in the fight against satan, and all who are employed by him.

We must be careful how we entertain strangers, for they could be angels. Hebrews 13:2.
